We hope you will join us at the 2017 Bluefoot Open on September 20th to celebrate and remember not just our special friend Kaya, but all of us who have lost, and who currently have a special pet in our lives.
Kaya was a fixture in West Hartford, ESPN, and here at Bluefoot. Her passing saddened many people, and the amount of good that was expressed in her name will never be forgotten. One thing that we learned while going through the ordeal, is that there are countless numbers of good people out there doing the often hard and unrewarding work of saving and caring for animals in need.
We encourage you to donate, even a couple of dollars, to animal organizations like the ASPCA and The Dolly Good Puppy Society in honor of a fallen friend or pet.
The ASPCA was founded on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans, and must be protected under the law. They provide local and national leadership in three key areas: caring for pet parents and pets, providing positive outcomes for at-risk animals and serving victims of animal cruelty.
The Dolly Good Puppy Society is a rescue group from Georgia and it is where we found, Mia. This group has rescued countless dogs from being put to sleep and found them new homes all over the East Coast.
Thank you and I look forward to seeing you all soon,
